Colts get ready for annual Celebrity Charity Hockey tournament

CORNWALL, Ontario – The Cornwall Colts and the Benson Group are once again teaming up to support the St. Vincent De Paul Society with a Celebrity Charity Hockey Game.

The 4th Annual Benson Colts Celebrity Charity Hockey game will take place on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 3 p.m. at the Benson Centre (Pad 1).

Scotiabank Cornwall and Shoeless Joe’s are also community partners for this event.

The celebrities are made up of local business and community leaders.  They will skate alongside the Colts to raise money and non perishable food items just in time for Christmas distribution.  Each celebrity player will be making a $100 donation to St. Vincent De Paul Society.

Joining the Colts on the ice for the game will be Rob Ariagno, Marty Benson, Steve Bernier, Pierre Brousseau, Paul Desnoyers, Tom Everson,  Mike Graham, Brian Jans, MP Guy Lauzon, Ian MacInnis, Tim McCuaig, Ken McRae, SD&G OPP Commander Mike Mulhearn, David Murphy, Neil Sandilands, Chris Smith and Mike Turcotte.

BOOM 101.9 morning co-host Dan Allaire, Big Brothers & Big Sisters Executive Director Amanda Brisson and local boxing promoter Jorge Luis will be the celebrity coaches.

Admission to the game will be a $5 donation or a non perishable food item for St. Vincent De Paul Society.
