CORNWALL, Ontario – Ryan Lalonde is getting ready for his new show, Strange Magic, at Cornwall’s Aultsville Theatre on March 4.

"Its not your traditional idea of magic," Lalonde said. "There are no rabbits in hats, there’s a modern twist to it. The audience knows nobody’s getting cut in half. They know I’m going into the crowd and picking on people."

Lalonde likes to use a beach ball that he tosses into the crowd to pick his volunteers.

"Sometimes I see the beach ball bounce all over the place, especially at the beginning of the show because people don’t know what to expect," he said.

Lalonde is a local talent that was born and raised in Cornwall. He got his first big break performing shows at Eight Zero Zero.

His reputation in town grew and thanks to it and some word of mouth marketing, Ryan broke a record at Aultsville Theatre when he performed his first show there.

Ryan’s first show at Aultsville Theatre broke the record for attendance for a show by a local performer. At his second show at Aultsville, he did even better.

Ryan Lalonde’s third show at Aultsville is on March 4 at 7:30 p.m. and he is well on track to match or even break his record again as 400 tickets are already sold.

Tickets for his show are available at the Cornwall Civic Complex or at www.admission.com.
