This weekend saw fine weather and high speeds

UNITED COUNTIES of SD&G, Ontario – Over the past weekend, SD&G and Highway Safety Division (HSD) OPP officers conducting speed measuring enforcement in the United Counties intercepted the following vehicles for traveling at excessive speeds. In all stops, the vehicle was impounded and the driver’s permit seized for seven days in accordance to policy.

– February 17, 2017 – 11:22am (Highway 417-North Glengarry); vehicle stopped travelling 162km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (30) from Montreal, Quebec charged accordingly.

– February 17, 2017 – 12:26pm (Highway 401-South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 157km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (53) from Hamilton, Ontario charged accordingly.

– February 18, 2017 – 10:43am (Highway 401-South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 158km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (20) from Toronto, Ontario charged accordingly.

– February 18, 2017 – 3:56pm (Highway 401-South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 152km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (19) from Waterloo, Ontario charged accordingly.

– February 18, 2017 – 10:13pm (Highway 401-South Stormont); vehicle stopped travelling 182km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (21) from London, Ontario charged accordingly.

– February 20, 2017 – 1:53pm (Highway 401-South Dundas); vehicle stopped travelling 170km/h (100km/h zone). Male driver (20) from Waterloo, Ontario charged accordingly.
