CORNWALL, Ontario – Canadian Forces members and local dignitaries witnessed the swearing in of the 17th Commendant of the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Control Operations (CFSACO).

Lt. Col. Christopher Horner replaces Lt. Col. Steeve Caron who is moving onto a post in Ottawa after two years overseeing CFSACO.

“Time here could not have gone better,” said Caron in his fairwell address. “It is pretty rare to get such committment from a team as diverse as ours. Chris you are a lucky guy, you will soon see you have an excellent team.”

Incoming Commandant Horner explained to his new command that they were preparing their students for the future of warfare.

“Without the effort you put into training day-to-day, we cannot win a war,” he said. “Each and every one of you are defenders of our sovereignty.”

Horner takes command of the approximately 45 services members at CFSACO who oversee the training of over 100 students every year.
