What’s open and what’s closed in Cornwall this long weekend

CORNWALL, Ontario – Some city services will not be operating on Monday, Aug. 7. Some stores will be closed as well.

  • City Hall and administrative offices will be closed.
  • There will be no garbage pick-up on Monday, Aug. 7. Monday’s pick-up will be pushed to Tuesday, Tuesday to Wednesday and so-on.
  • There will be no public transportation that day and  the Cornwall Transit office will be closed.
  • The Cornwall Public Library will be closed and will re-open on Tuesday.
  • The Benson Centre will be open to regular programming.
  • The Civic Complex will be open, but the offices will be closed.
  • The Aquatic Centre and public pools will be open.
  • The Cornwall Square is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • No Frills, Independent Grocer and Food Basics are all open on Monday.
  • The Beer Store on Sydney St. is open on Monday, the other two Beer Stores in Cornwall are closed.
  • The LCBO on Brookdale Ave. will be open on Monday, the store on Second St. will be closed.
  • The Shoppers Drugmart stores in Cornwall will be open.
