CORNWALL, Ontario – On Aug. 8, 2017 at approximately 6:29 p.m., Stormont Dundas &Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police responded to a report of a Utility Trailer being taken from a property on County Road 2, South Stormont Township.

Investigation indicated that overnight (Aug. 7-8, 2017) a 2008 Roadmaster RMU Black Utility trailer with various power tools inside was stolen.

On Aug. 12 2017, members from SD&G OPP executed a Search Warrant on a residence on Sixth Street West in Cornwall, Ontario. This resulted in the recovery of the stolen trailer and the various power tools.

Brandon Champagne (22) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

– Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon

– Possession of Property obtained by crime ( 2 counts)

– Fail to Comply with condition of Undertaking

Julie Samson-Wood (40) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

– Possession of Property obtained by crime (2 counts)

Barry Michael Wood (49) of Cornwall, Ontario was arrested and charged with;

– Possession of Property obtained by crime ( 2 counts)

– Unauthorized Possession of a Weapon

All three were released scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on 28th of September 2017.
