SOUTH STORMONT, Ontario – On October 23, 2017 at 4:30pm Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the scene of a single vehicle fatal collision on Highway 401 MM 792 (McConnell Avenue – off Ramp), South Stormont Township.
Investigation has indicated that a passenger vehicle travelling east on Highway 401 left the roadway from the McConnell off ramp causing the car to rollover and come to rest in the median.
The adult male Edmund POIRIER (61) of Cornwall, Ontario the driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision.
The SD&G OPP officers and OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) continue the investigation.
