CORNWALL, Ontario – William McDonald, 23, of Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 24, 2017 and charged with possession of property obtained by crime and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace.

It is alleged on Nov. 24, 2017 the man was found to be in possession of stolen bicycle in the area of Marlborough Street. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 28, 2017.

RESIST ARREST, BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 17-year-old Cornwall youth was arrested on Nov. 24, 2017 and charged with breach of recognizance for failing to follow house rules, breach of probation for failing to keep the peace and resist arrest. It is alleged on Nov. 24, 2017 while investigating a family dispute, police found the youth to be in breach of his conditions. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date. His name was not released as per conditions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

CORNWALL, Ontario – Diane Hebert, 61, of Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 25, 2017 and charged with possession of methamphetamine. It is alleged during a traffic stop for an unrelated matter on Nov. 25, 2017 the woman was found to be in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 28, 2017.

IMPAIRED OPERATION OF A MOTOR VEHICLE, OVER 80

CORNWALL, Ontario – John Ostapczuk, 65, of Cornwall was arrested on Nov. 26, 2017 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged on Nov. 26, 2017 the man was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol while in the area of Glengarry Boulevard. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Dec. 5, 2017.

MISCHIEF

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 24-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Nov. 26, 2017 and charged with mischief. It is alleged during an argument with his common-law wife on Nov. 26, 2017 the man damaged her vehicle and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
