CORNWALL, Ontario – Following its fifth Venture Demo Day on Dec. 13, 2017, the Cornwall Innovation Centre is pleased to announce that two new ventures have been invited to join the Lead To Win business accelerator program.

“The CIC continues to build its roster of innovative companies,” said Kelly Bergeron, Executive Director.  “We are excited to welcome Ioffe Biotechnologies and Rent Frock Repeat to our fray and look forward to helping them grow their companies.”

Three ventures pitched their ideas to the review panel made up of local business professionals including Lesley Lang, Executive Director, Cornwall and Counties Community Future Development Corporation; Todd Lihou, Centretown Coordinator, Heart of the City; Dale McSween, Chairman, Board of Directors, Cornwall Hospital Community Foundation, and Michael MacGillivray, Interim Executive Director of the Community Futures Development Corporation.

The successful or “green” rated ventures are:

·         Ioffe Biotechnologies Inc., the creators of Indezone Energy, a patent-pending cognitive enhancer in capsule form. The approved product comes with the Health Canada-approved health claim, “Helps to Enhance Cognitive Performance”. The venture currently operates out of Kingston.

·         Rent Frock Repeat, a membership-based company that allows members the opportunity to rent high-end designer dresses and accessories for special occasions. The company is based in Cornwall; it currently has online operations, as well as showrooms in Toronto and Ottawa.

With the addition of Ioffe Biotechnologies Inc. and Rent Frock Repeat, the CIC’s Lead To Win program, modeled after Carleton University’s award-winning program, now has a total of 11 ventures operating under its wing.
