CORNWALL, Ontario – The first of two three-day Jehovah’ Witness conventions began in Cornwall on Friday, June 15.

The Jehovah’s Witnesses have held their annual conventions here in Cornwall 21 times.

“Cornwall is truly a convention City” according to Wayne Gratton, Media Contact for the two conventions. “And no matter at what level you find yourself, the visitor gets the ‘down home’ feeling, and is looking forward to coming again.”

The gathering is just one of many taking place across Canada this weekend.

The conventions include 54 presentations interviews and short videos.

“We are delighted to host this important event once again”, said Janice Robinson, Facilities Rental Co-ordinator.  “The organizers work very hard each year to put on such a successful convention.  We have been so fortunate to work with Watch Tower since 1998, they have truly become a part of our community”.  This year is very special as it will be our 21st Annual Watch Tower Conference!

The convention is open to the public and there is no fee for admission.

A second convention will be happening in Cornwall starting next Friday, June 22.
