Two teens arrested for robbery with a weapon

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 15-year-old and 16-year-old youth, both of Cornwall, were arrested on Sept. 8, 2018 and charged with the following:

  • Robbery – using a weapon
  • Possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose
  • Disguise with intent
  • Mischief under $5,000

The 16-year-old youth was also charged with possession of cocaine.

It is alleged on Sept. 8, 2018 the youths entered a convenience store in the north end of Cornwall, concealing their identities. The youths allegedly demanded money while brandishing a knife and a tool. After damaging a debit machine, it is alleged they fled the area with a quantity of money. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation police located the youths. They were taken into custody, at which time one of the youths was found to be in possession of a quantity of cocaine. They were charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Their names were not released as per provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
