CORNWALL, Ontario – The Comic Strippers are returning to Cornwall this Saturday, Sept. 22 at Aultsville Theatre.
Members of the Comic Strippers troupe have been doing improv for almost 20 years and they have been doing their current show for the past six.
“It is like Whose Line meets Magic Mike with very average bodies,” said Ken Lawson, one of the performers in the show.
Lawson said that while it is a 19+ show, that it is something that of age family members can enjoy together.
“Sometimes we have three generations of women come to see the show,” he said.
There are four members of the seven-member troupe on tour and they do different improv games on stage during the show.
“One thing we often get asked is if it is a show for women, but it is really for all genders,” Lawson said. “The men come up and high-five us after too.”
Lawson explained that even if you have seen the show before, there is always something new.
“Even if we did the exact same show it would be different,” he said. “Everything we do is based on audience suggestions.”
Show time is 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22. Tickets are available at the Aultsville Theatre box office.
