CORNWALL, Ontario – The United Way/Centraide SD&G is holding its annual Celebration Sleigh Raffle in support of the 2018 Community Campaign. The sleigh will be on display at Baxtrom’s Your Independent Grocer for the duration of the raffle which runs until December 14th at Noon when the draw for the grand prize winner will take place.
“We would like to extend a giant thank you to BMO Bank of Montreal for generously jumping on board as our title sponsor this year!” said Meagan Bingley, United Way/Centraide Director of Operations. “Every raffle ticket that is sold will help the United Way change lives in our community. Thank you to everyone who purchases a ticket, your support is greatly appreciated!”
The United Way/Centraide has decided to innovate the sleigh this year. There are now more chances to WIN! Every Friday leading up to the grand prize draw there will be one lucky winner of a $100 gift certificate for Baxtrom’s Your Independent Grocers and a $100 LCBO gift certificate.
Individual tickets are $5.00, or $10.00 for three. New this year The United Way/Centraide is also encouraging individuals to bring in a non-perishable food item(s). If you donate a non-perishable item(s) while the United Way volunteers are on site you will receive an additional ticket for free! The items will be donated to a local food bank, which will assist with the increased need during the holiday season. Tickets can be purchased from volunteers on-site at Baxtrom’s during the weekend, at the Baxtrom’s Courtesy Desk, and at the United Way/Centraide office.
The sleigh is valued over $3000.00! Included in the sleigh is: $1000 CASH, $250 gift certificates for: Gas, the LCBO, the Beer Store and for Baxtrom’s Independent Grocers, an Apple iWatch (with cellular and GPS), bottles of holiday cheer, and non-perishable food items. A perfect gift to win right before the Holiday Season!
