CORNWALL, Ontario – A 21-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Jan. 5, 2019 and charged with assault with a weapon, threats x two, and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace.
It is alleged the man assaulted his ex-girlfriend using a hammer, as well as made threats to burn her residence, as well as her neighbour’s residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, the man was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
