CORNWALL, Ontario – CCPS officers received a call shortly after 12 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 8 concerning a single vehicle crash at the intersection of Brookdale Ave. and Ninth St.
According to Staff Sgt. Doyon, there were four occupants of the vehicle and three were taken to hospital. The extent of injuries is unknown at this time and a CCPS officer remains on site at CCH.
What is known at this time is that the black Volkswagen Jetta collided with a traffic light pole. This resulted in the pole cracking and falling into the intersection. Several CCPS, Cornwall fire crews and paramedics were on the scene.
The accident site is still being investigated, closing a section of Ninth St. and Brookdale Ave.
