CORNWALL, Ontario – The Cornwall Public Library held a series of events for Family Day on Monday, Feb. 18.
“Today we (were) super excited to offer a number of activities for families. Earlier in the day we had a toddler adventures program which was really successful…it was an absolute mess the children in the program made, which is a good indicator fun was had,” said Leslie Corbay, Manager of Youth and Children Services.
Corbay explained that in the early afternoon families were able to watch the new Christopher Robin film together, followed by a tree craft activity. Mellissa Malloy, Library Assistant, organized the craft especially for the holiday.
“I just think that it’s a great way (to connect), for today especially, because everyone is home and they can all spend time together and doing a craft like this brings everyone together,” said Malloy.
“(The craft) is mostly just about what the family tree represents and just the unity of the family and how you’re all rooted together,” she added.
