CORNWALL, Ontario – For well over a decade now, the Eco Farm Days conference has been held in Cornwall. Happening from Feb. 23-24, 2019 at the Ramada Inn, the conference offers hands-on learning for farmers looking to grow their business.

“It is a learning opportunity for farmers,” said Colin Lundy, one of the organizers. “The goal is that they leave here and go back to the farm with new ideas.”

The event is organized by the Canadian Organic Growers, and farmers have the opportunity to learn about things like managing pastures, grazing management and more.

In all, the event had between 250 and 300 attendees along with 40 vendors.

The event also saw the presentation of an Ontario Trillium Fund Grant by the office of MPP Jim McDonell. The grand will be used to help support farmers in SD&G who are seeking to transition to organic farming.
