Four arrested for break-in in North Stormont

Four arrested for break-in in North Stormont

NORTH STORMONT, Ontario – On March 28, 2019, at approximately 6:56 a.m. Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a report of a break-in in progress at a residence in South Stormont Township.

Investigation indicated that the culprits attempted to enter the residence and were confronted by the homeowner. The suspects fled the residence. Police located the males a short distance away.

Sebastien Taillon, 25, of Plantagenet, ON was located and arrested and is charged with;

–             Break and Enter – a dwelling house

–             Break and Enter intent to steal a firearm

–             Possession break in instruments

–             Fail to comply with conditions of a Probation Order (two counts)

He was held in custody (bail) and is scheduled to a court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall March 29, 2019.

Mathieu Mainville, 24, of Hawkesbury, ON was located and arrested and is charged with;

–             Break and Enter – a dwelling house

He was released and is scheduled to a court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice on April 23, 2019 in Cornwall.

Rolland Parent Jr., 24, of Plantagenet, ON was located and arrested and is charged with;

–             Break and Enter – a dwelling house

–             Break and Enter intent to steal a firearm

–             Possession break in instruments

He was released and is scheduled to a court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice on April 25, 2019 in Cornwall.

A 16-year-old male from Clarence-Rockland, ON was located and arrested and is charged with;

–             Break and Enter – a dwelling house

He was released and is scheduled to a court appearance at the Ontario Court of Justice on April 25, 2019 in Cornwall. The name of the accused is being withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
