SOUTH GLENGARRY, Ontario – R.W. Tomlinson have announced that they will be closing parts of County Rd. 2 and Hwy 401 to help facilitate the demolition of the 2nd Line Rd. bridge.
County Rd. 2 will be fully closed at 2nd Line Rd. from 8 a.m. on Thursday, April 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 5. Detours will be in place.
Hwy 401 westbound lanes will be fully closed at County Rd. 23 in Curry Hill from 8 p.m. on Friday, April 5 to 8 a.m. on Saturday, April 6. Motorists will be asked to use a detour on County Rd. 2.
Hwy 401 eastbound lanes will be fully closed at County Rd. 34 in Lancaster from 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 to 8 a.m. on Sunday, April 7. Again, a detour will be in place on County Rd. 2.
If any inclement weather prevents the demolition from taking place, the whole operation will be delayed by one week.
