Man allegedly uses stolen credit card at multiple local businesses

CORNWALL, ON – John Pecore, 37, of Cornwall, was arrested on Tuesday, April 23 and charged with the following:

• Fraud under $5000 x 6
• Unlawful use of credit card x 6
• Theft of credit card
• Breach of probation for failing to keep the peace x 7
• Theft under $5000
• Possession of counterfeit money

It is alleged on April 13 the man took a credit card that did not belong to him and used it at six local businesses.

It is further alleged on April 23 the man removed various documents from a parked vehicle in the area of Second St. East and Prince Arthur St. and police were contacted to investigate.

Police located the man a short time later and took him into custody, at which time he was found to be in possession of a counterfeit $100 USD bill. The man was charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
