Two arrested for possession of drugs, weapons in North Glengarry

NORTH GLENGARRY, Ontario –  Two of North Glengarry were arrested after found to be in possession of a quantity of drugs and weapons.

Officers seized a quantity of crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, psilocybin, heroin, ecstasy and marijuana on Friday, May 10 on William St. in North Glengarry Township. Weapons such as crossbows, knives and pellet guns were also found, as well as Canadian currency.

Members of the SDG OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Emergency Response Team (ERT), K9 Unit and Tactical rescue Unit (TRU) officers executed the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search Warrant.

Robin Rozon, 40, of North Glengarry was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for purpose of trafficking (3 counts)
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – over $5000
  • Fail to comply with conditions of an undertaking ( 2 counts)

Melanie Larchevesque, 39, of North Glengarry was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Possession of a controlled substance for purpose of trafficking (3 counts)
  • Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime – over $5000
  • Fail to comply with conditions of an undertaking
  • Fail to comply with conditions of a probation order

Both were held in custody (bail) and are scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall.
