NORTH GLENGARRY, Ontario – On May 29, 2019 at approximately 7:47am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the scene of a two (2) vehicle collision on Highway 417 Eastbound between County Road 34 (mile marker 27) and McCrimmon Road (mile marker 35), North Glengarry Township.
Investigation has indicated that at approximately 7:47 a.m., a tractor trailer (1) was travelling eastbound on Highway 417 when, for reasons under investigation, collided with a stationary tractor trailer (2) in a construction zone.
The adult driver Claude Boudreau, 59, of Laval, Quebec of the eastbound Tractor trailer (1) was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The adult driver (lone occupant) of the second tractor trailer was uninjured.
SD&G OPP continue to investigate the collision with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI).
