LONG SAULT, Ontario – The CCVS students of Heather Mahon’s Music class teamed up with the kindergarteners from Longue Sault Public School to serenade the seniors at Woodland Villa on the morning of Friday, June 7.

“We are so happy to be here to entertain you today,” Mahon told the residents of the Villa.

The musical demonstration was a part of the final grade for Mahon’s class and opened with a rendition of Abba’s Thank you for the music.

The show went about an hour and included hits from John Lennon and more.

“I think it is an amazing idea,” said Lisa Boran, Life Enrichment Coordinator at Woodland Villa. “The residents being able to see these children is an important interaction. If you look around you are able to see the wonderful smiles on the residents faces.”
