CORNWALL & SDG, Ontario – Seaway News will be out and about at Canada Day 2019 celebrations across the region. With plenty of fun events happening throughout our city and the surrounding counties, getting out to enjoy the June weather and fireworks is expected to draw dozens. The following include some of the great spots to celebrate!

CORNWALL

Come celebrate Canada’s birthday with a full day of free festivities in beautiful Lamoureux Park.

There will be live entertainment, free kids activities, and fun for the entire family. Some of the artists performing are Barstool Prophets, Melanie Brulée, The Riot Police and more. Kids will have the opportunity to play in an inflatable city, listen and dance to Junkyard Symphony and participate in a Home Depot Workshop.

Eat at a delicious food vendor, and then play some Human Foosball, or take your shot at the Dunk Tank! The fireworks will begin at 10pm.

LONG SAULT

Celebrate Canada Day at the Lost Villages Museum, Ault Park. There will be entertainment, children’s games, a silent auction, strawberry social and BBQ on July 1st from 11am-4pm.

GLEN WALTER

Canada Day is being celebrated at the Glen Walter Regional Park!

There will be many fun activities for the family including bouncy castles, tug of war, food vendors, fireworks, a DJ, a beverage tent and so much more. Everyone will find something to enjoy on this day to celebrate Canada. Admission is free.

The event runs from 3 pm to 10 pm.

LANCASTER

The Raisin Region Conservation Authority will be hosting a beach party at Charlottenburgh Park to celebrate Canada’s 152nd birthday.

It will be a great opportunity for you and your family to cool off on a hot summer day, play some volleyball, or take a nature walk. You can take in the beautiful St. Lawrence River, listen to some fun music and go for a tube ride.

Admission is free. There will also be a BBQ! The festivities will run from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
