CORNWALL, Ontario – Anglers from across Eastern Ontario and Quebec brought their best catches in to Marina 200 for the third Renegade Bass Tour qualifier – a place they will soon return to for the 2019 Renegade Bass Tour Classic.

The competition began at 7 a.m. on July 20 with 82 anglers returning for weigh-in at 4 p.m. according to Renegade Bass Tour’s president Michael Vanderburg. “It was a long warm day for the folks on the water, but I am sure that people had plenty of luck out there today,” said Vanderburg.

Pat Milot and Jean Martin Landry from Gatineau and Valleyfield won this qualifier with a total weight of 24.61 pounds.  “Usually we’ll catch maybe 10 fish here on a good day but today we caught a good 25 fish,” said Milot.

After the qualifiers, the top 40 teams move on to the Renegade Bass Tour Classic, which was announced to be in Cornwall on Lake St. Francis on Sept. 7 and 8. The winner of that event will win a Bass Cat boat and rigging valued over $85,000, according to their website.
