Teen identified as victim in North Stormont crash

NORTH STORMONT, Ontario – On July 20, 2019 at approximately 4:37 a.m. Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers responded to the scene of a single vehicle collision on County Rd. 43 between County Rd. 20 and Pigeon Hill Rd. in North Stormont Township.

Preliminary investigation has indicated that a passenger vehicle was travelling eastbound on County Road 43 when, for reasons under investigation, left the roadway and entered the ditch causing it to roll over.

The adult male, 25, of South Glengarry, Ont., driver of the passenger vehicle was transported to hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries.

The adult female passenger Logan Sunday, 18, of South Glengarry, Ontario of the passenger vehicle was pronounced deceased at scene.

SD&G OPP continue to investigate the collision with the assistance of the OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI).
