CPS seize $115k worth of illegal cannabis, cash

CORNWALL, Ontario – On Friday, July 26, members of the Cornwall Street Crime Unit executed a Cannabis Act search warrant at a Marlborough St. address. As a result of the search warrant, over 2,000 grams of illegal cannabis products were located. They include cannabis shatter, cannabis edibles and THC resin. Police also located Canadian currency, a machete and bear spray.

Jennifer Moore, 24, Darren MacNeil, 47 and Cameron Paul, 27, all from Cornwall, were arrested and charged with the following:

  • Unlawfully possess cannabis for selling it x7
  • Unlawfully possess cannabis that he/she knew was illicit x7
  • Possession of Psilocybin
  • Proceeds of crime-over $5,000
  • Possession of a Weapon

Cameron Paul was also charged with breach of recognizance for being in possession of a weapon (machete).

Moore and MacNeil were released to appear in court on August 27, 2019 while Paul was held for a bail hearing.

The combined estimated street value of the illegal cannabis and currency seized is over $115,000.00.
