Massena woman arrested for personating police officer

CORNWALL, Ontario – Diane Cayer-Bylow, 63, of Massena, NY was arrested on Tuesday, Aug. 6 and charged with personating a peace officer and personation.

It is alleged on July 8, 2019, the woman falsely identified herself as a police officer, as well as provided a false name to a woman she did not know in attempt to retrieve items that do not belong to her.

Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Tuesday, Aug. 6, the woman attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. She was taken into custody, charged accordingly, and released to appear in court on August 29.
