After 32 years, Chamber of Commerce and Executive Manager part ways

CORNWALL, Ontario – After 32 years of service, the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors has decided to part ways with its Executive Manager Lezlie Strasser.

Strasser had served the Chamber throughout the life of the organisation. In a brief statement, the Board announced her departure and wished her well in the future.

“After thirty-two (32) years of dedicated service to the Cornwall business community, the Cornwall and Area Chamber of Commerce announces the departure of its long-time Executive Manager, Lezlie Strasser,” the Chamber’s statement reads. “The Chamber’s Board of Directors wishes to thank Lezlie for her many contributions to the Chamber. We want to take this opportunity to wish Lezlie much happiness and success in whatever pursuits await her.”

Strasser posted the following comments on social media.

“It is time to announce that after 32 years as Executive Manager of the Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, I am leaving my position effective September 17th, 2019…of course, with a mixture of sadness and excitement. I look forward to finding new opportunities to contribute to our great city and surrounding areas,” she wrote. “I offer a heartfelt thank you to the community, the Chamber members and all of the wonderful people who have supported me and worked alongside me to assist the business community in its continuing growth. It has been a privilege.”

There has been no public comments at this time as for the reason or the timing around Strasser’s departure.
