WEEKEND EVENT: Sidewalk Astronomy

Cornwall’s premiere monthly night sky event returns for its final event of the season!

Telescopes will be set up near the bandshell in Lamoureux Park for free public use. You’ll be able to explore the Moon, Jupiter and Saturn and take photos of the Moon with your smartphon!

The event begins at 7:30 pm.

Giant projection screens will showcase the solar system and their very own astrophotography art gallery!

Virtual reality (VR) experiences will let you explore the universe without having to leave the ground.

This is a completely free event organized by Speaking of Space.

There will be merchandise and collectibles available for purchase and donations are gladly accepted. All proceeds directly support Sidewalk Astronomy.

If the weather doesn’t co-operate, a go/no-go announcement will be made the day of and the backup date will be posted.
