SOUTH GLENGARRY, Ontario – On Oct. 8, 2019, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry Ontario Provincial Police officers responded to a residence on Willow Dr. ,South Glengarry Township to check on the home owner, upon arriving to the house it was observed to be on fire. Officers observed that there was a person inside the structure.

The person was able to escape the residence with the assistance from South Glengarry Fire Department. The victim was been transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

An officer involved attended hospital and was treated and released for smoke inhalation.

South Glengarry Fire Department members attended the scene to extinguish the fire.

Investigators from the Ontario Fire Marshall (OFM), assisted by SD&G OPP officers and SD&G OPP crime unit continue the investigation.
