Cornwall woman arrested on multiple warrants

CORNWALL, Ontario – Lisa Sauve, 31, of Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 17, 2019 on the strength of multiple warrants. She was also charged with four counts of theft under $5,000 and six counts of breach of probation for failing to keep the peace and attending a certain business. It is alleged throughout September and October, the woman attended multiple businesses and removed merchandise, making no attempt to pay for the items as she left the stores. Police were contacted and warrants were issued for her arrest. On Oct. 17, 2019, she was taken into custody on the strength of the warrants, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.

BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – Rebecca Tyo, 22, of Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 17, 2019 and charged with breach of recognizance for failing to remain in her residence. It is alleged the woman had left her residence, despite her conditions, and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Nov. 14, 2019.

ASSAULT

CORNWALL, Ontario – William Boucher, 58, of Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 17, 2019 and charged with assault. It is alleged during an altercation in the parking lot of a Second Street East business, the man assaulted another man he did not know and police were contacted. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Nov. 14, 2019.

WARRANT

CORNWALL, Ontario – Chiara Smoke-Thompson, 25, of Cornwall was arrested on Oct. 17, 2019 on the strength of a warrant. She was also charged with breach of undertaking for failing to keep the peace and consuming alcohol. It is alleged in August the woman assaulted someone known to her with a weapon and a warrant was issued for her arrest. On Oct. 17, 2019, police located the woman and observed her to be intoxicated and in breach of her conditions. She was taken into custody on the strength of the warrant and held for a bail hearing.

UNLAWFULLY IN A DWELLING, BREACH

CORNWALL, Ontario – A 20-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Oct. 17, 2019 and charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling and breach of recognizance for contacting and being within 10 metres of his girlfriend. It is alleged on Oct. 17, the man entered his girlfriend’s residence without permission and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

IMPAIRED, OVER 80

CORNWALL, Ontario – Brittany Tutecky, 30, of Ingleside was arrested on Oct. 18, 2019 and charged with impaired operation and over 80. It is alleged during the early morning hours on Oct. 18, the woman was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol in the area of Brookdale Ave. and Tollgate Rd. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and released to appear in court at a later date.
