SOUTH GLENGARRY, Ontario – On Oct. 16, 2019 at approximately 8:20 a.m. a Highway Safety Division OPP officer conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle travelling 148km/hr in a posted 80km/hr zone (Construction zone) on Hwy 401, South Glengarry, ON.   The investigation revealed that an adult driver was in possession of a stolen 2017 Toyota Highlander SUV from Toronto, ON. The stop also resulted in the seizure of a quantity of suspected methamphetamine from the driver.

Steve Dube, 48, of Rimouski, QC was arrested and charged with;

– Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000

– Possession of a controlled substance

– Stunt Drive (Highway Traffic Act)

– Drive no licence (HTA)

The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Alexandria on Nov. 6, 2019.
