CORNWALL, Ontario – The Meals on Wheels program in Cornwall announced on Tuesday, Oct. 22 that they would be launching a new frozen meal service in the city.

The program will officially launch during the last week of October.

“We are so pleased to be able to offer frozen meals to our clients,” said Andree-Anne Morin, Meals on Wheels Coordinator. “The program will be a great alternative for those who wish to have more options and choice in their meal selection, as well as those who are active and are unable to wait for daily deliveries. It will also help our current hot meal clients for weekends when we do not deliver.”

The introduction of the new frozen meal service comes after a price reduction to the hot meal service in honour of Meals on Wheels’ 50th anniversary.

““It is exciting to see Cornwall’s Meals on Wheels program growing. We’ve come a long way since the start of the service in our community in 1970,” said Morin.

Clients can choose between either the hot meal or frozen meal service, or they can choose to have both. Meals are delivered twice monthly.

To place an order of hot or frozen meals, call 613-933-3384 ext.4263 or visit their website at www.Cornwall.ca/mealsonwheels.
