CORNWALL, Ontario – Medical Arts began 64 years ago on the corner of Montreal Rd. and Arthur St. It has since expanded to a second location in Cornwall, but its home was always on that same Montreal Rd. corner, until now.

This month, Medical Arts Pharmacy moved out of that building it had been in since its founding, but it did not go far. Now located at 165 Montreal Rd., just two doors down, Medical Arts now boasts an expanded space for its expanding family of customers in the southern end of the city.

Growing by 800 sq. ft. to 22,000 sq. ft. in total, the new building has allowed the Medical Arts team to re-organize their work flow at the site to allow for more efficiencies.

“We’ve been planning on this move for five years and it is a big change for us,” said Harry Haramis of Medical Arts Pharmacy.

The new site has a doctors clinic located in the back, along with more parking behind the building.

One of the services Medical Arts offers includes travel consultation with Suzie Pilon, a pharmacist certified in travel medicine.

For their old building, Medical Arts continues to use the space, and will be deciding in the near future what to do with the property on a long term basis.
