FINCH, Ontario – Some new and familiar faces have launched the Finch Market. Known by different names over the years, most recently the D&D Market, the new owners are announcing new ventures along with the new name.

Located at 17 Main St. in the heart of Finch, Sue Stewart and Luc McCabe are excited to invite the community to join them in this new endeavour.

“Karin and Duncan Devries have done an outstanding job, along with their amazing staff, in taking this store to the next level over the past 2 years,” said Chef McCabe. “Our goal is to build on that success by delivering what customers are asking for – good food that offers unique flavour profiles and is made with local ingredients.”

The fully stocked store is a one stop shop for groceries, baked goods, deli and butchered meats. The Finch Market will also continue to serve the community as an outlet for the LCBO and Beer Store.

Chef McCabe recently left his position as Executive Chef at the Nav Centre. McCabe culinary experience includes recently taking part in the Around The World in 10000 Bites event in Houston, TX. Most recently, after a trip to Japan, Chef McCabe became one of the very few chefs in Canada to be certified in A5 Wagyu Beef. In addition to putting his cooking skills to work in the Finch Market’s bakery, deli, and butcher shop, Chef Mccabe will also be offering catering services and plans to host BBQs.

His partner is Sue Stewart, a familiar face in the region through her work with RE/MAX Marquis and a familiar voice being previously heard on local radio and currently serving as a co-host on Seaway News’The Chat” podcast.

“We will very much continue to offer the great service that our customers have come to expect,” said Ms. Stewart. “Finch was my original home, and, along with Luc and our three kids, we look forward to being part of this community.”

The Finch Market is opened seven days a week.
