DOMESTIC ASSAULT, ASSAULT WITH A WEAPON, MISCHIEF, BREACH
CORNWALL, Ontario – A 21-year-old Cornwall woman was arrested on Dec. 23, 2019 and charged with the following:
• Domestic assault
• Assault with a weapon
• Mischief
• Breach of recognizance (for failing to keep the peace)
• Breach of probation (for failing to keep the peace)
It is alleged during an argument with her boyfriend on Dec. 23, the woman assaulted him using a hammer and damaged a wall in the residence. The woman also allegedly assaulted another man known to her while at the residence. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. During the investigation, she was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. Her name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT, BREACH
CORNWALL, Ontario – A 35-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Dec. 23, 2019 and charged with domestic assault, as well as breach of recognizance for contacting his wife and being within a certain distance of her. It is alleged on Oct. 24, the man assaulted his wife and police were contacted to investigate. On Dec. 23, 2019, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
DOMESTIC ASSAULT
CORNWALL, Ontario – A 22-year-old Cornwall man was arrested on Dec. 23, 2019 and charged with domestic assault. It is alleged on Dec. 23, the man assaulted his girlfriend during an altercation and police were contacted to investigate. During the investigation, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
THREATS, ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO RESIST ARREST, BREACH
Cornwall, ON – Darryl Markell, 45, of Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 23, 2019 and charged with threats, assault with intent to resist arrest, and breach of probation for failing to keep the peace. It is alleged on Dec. 23, 2019, while police were investigating an unrelated matter, the man made threats to damage property of someone known to him. He was taken into custody, at which time he resisted arrest and assaulted a police officer. He was taken into custody after a brief struggle, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Jan. 30, 2020.
IMPAIRED, OVER 80
Cornwall, ON – Brady Lucyshyn, 26, of Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 24, 2019 and charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and over 80. It is alleged during the early morning hours on Dec. 24, the man was operating a motor vehicle while impaired by alcohol in the area of Lawrence Ave. and First St. He was taken into custody during a traffic stop, charged accordingly and released to appear in court on Jan. 7, 2020.
