CORNWALL, Ontario – Dozens of local children will have extra gifts under the Christmas tree this year thanks to members of Summit Health & Fitness Club.
The gym members dropped off toys totaling over $1,500 in value over a two week campaign with all donations being distributed to “Littles” with the Big Brothers Big Sisters program.
“We’re really pleased and overwhelmed with the generosity of our members,” said Summit Team Member Laura Hutchinson. “They didn’t hesitate to help when we told them the gifts were for local children.”
“I’m really proud of our staff and our members who always go above and beyond when it comes to helping the community,” said Summit owner and GM Jason Dennis.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Executive Director Ron Graham welcomed the support. “Children in our program will definitely feel the Christmas spirit thanks to Summit Health & Fitness Club.”
This was the first annual Christmas at Summit Toy Drive.
