CORNWALL, Ontario – Larry Labelle, 43, of Cornwall was arrested on Dec. 29, 2019 and charged with the following:
* Assault causing bodily harm
* Threats
* Resist police
* Escape lawful custody
* Breach of probation (for failing to keep the peace)
It is alleged during an altercation with a man known to him on Dec. 22, 2019, he assaulted the man, causing an injury that required medical attention, as well as made threats to harm him. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On Dec. 29, 2019, police located the man, who fled from police while being taken into custody. After a brief foot chase, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing.
