SD&G Counties launch grant programs to support local business

UNITED COUNTIES of SD&G, Ontario – The United Counties of SD&G has announced the launch of the 2020  Regional Incentives Program and the Regional Tourism Grant Program.

The programs promise to encourage business growth and economical growth in the United Counties.

The Regional Incentive Program is a $250,000 fund aimed at supporting businesses and non-profits up to $50,000. Applicants can apply for as much as 50 per cent compensation for improvements made to property, façade, signage and trails. There will be two rounds of intake for applications to this grant with the deadline for the first being noon on Feb. 21. The second program, the Regional Tourism Grant, has the overall goal of raising the visibility of the United Counties of SD&G. Applicants can receive as much as $5,000 to help support marketing efforts for tourist attractions such as events. The deadline for applications for the Regional Tourism Grant is Feb. 28 at noon and will be the only opportunity to apply in 2020. More information on the Regional Tourism grant can be found at https://www.sdgcounties.ca/tourism/grant
