CORNWALL, Ontario – For the third year in a row, Drag Story Time was a stunning success. With approximately 50 people of all ages in attendance, this year’s event was met with the largest turn out for Drag Story time in Cornwall. Cornwall Public Library hosted the event, which was organized by Diversity Cornwall.

“We are thrilled that our third Drag Story Time was such a success!” said Liz Queneville, president of Diversity Cornwall. “It means so much to our board to put on these events in our community and to foster freedom of expression and inclusivity…Our board and our events are growing every year and we’re very much looking forward to what this year will bring to our community.”

Misty Mac and Lulu Belle, both from Cornwall and drag king Cyril Cinder from Ottawa, read a series of lgbt themed children’s books to a captive audience on Sunday, February 9, 2020.

“Diversity Cornwall and I are very happy that our third drag story time was a success. We are so proud to put on these events to showcase love and inclusivity,” said Misty Mac, who has regularly performed the readings at Drag Story Time.

Diversity Cornwall will be hosting a 2SLGTBQ+ swim on April 18 at the Aquatic Centre as well as a Pride Prom on May 29 at the Best Western.
