CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, ASSAULT CAUSING BODILY HARM, THREATS X 2

Cornwall, ON – A 40-year-old Long Sault man was arrested on July 20th, 2021 and charged with criminal harassment, assault causing bodily harm and two counts of uttering threats. It is alleged the man had repeatedly communicated with his ex-girlfriend’s fiancé, as well as made threats to kill the man. It is further alleged he assaulted the woman’s fiancé, causing an injury that required medical attention. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 20th, 2021, he was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.

CRIMINAL HARASSMENT, BREACH 

Cornwall, ON – A 27-year-old Ottawa man was arrested on July 20th, 2021 and charged with criminal harassment, as well as four counts of breach of probation for contacting his ex-girlfriend and failing to keep the peace. It is alleged between April and July 2021, the man repeatedly contacted his ex-girlfriend, despite his conditions. Police were contacted and an investigation ensued. On July 20th, 2021, the man attended police headquarters to deal with the matter. He was taken into custody, charged accordingly and held for a bail hearing. His name was not released as it would identify the victim in the matter.
