It is with heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Harold “Sonny” Thompson on Friday, May 28, 2021 at the age of 85. Survived by beloved wife, Marjorie Ann Thompson (née MacGregor). Loving father of Gloria and Lori (Roch Cholette). Special grampie to Casey and Hayley Cholette. Survived by sisters Isabelle Murphy (late Doug) and Ruth McKay (late Jack); and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents James and Pearl Thompson (nee Henry) and sisters Kay Quipp (late Lawrence), Barbara Pidgeon (late Peter) and brother James Thompson. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction on Munro & Morris Funeral Homes Ltd., 114 Main St. South, Alexandria (613-525-2772). At Harold’s request there will be no visitation. A Private Chapel Service will be held at the Funeral Home. Interment to follow in St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery. Masks and physical distancing will be required. As expressions of sympathy Memorial Donations to the Charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. As a Memorial to Harold a tree will be planted in a memory woods.
