Riviere,Iris- It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our loving mom, who died peacefully with her children by her side at Woodland Villa at the grand age of 90 on January 26, 2022.She is now reunited with the love of her life Keith. Predeceased by her brothers Glen and Allan Lougheed, and her sister Leslie Bernett. She leaves behind her wonderful friend and sister in-law Patricia Lougheed of Florida. She was a wonderful and cherished mother to Brenda Markell (Bill) of Kanata, Gordon Riviere (Abby) of Cornwall, David Riviere (Jackie) of Calgary and Janet Riviere of Ottawa. She leaves her treasured grandchildren Corey Markell (Trish), Tara Markell (Jon), Alexis Martineau, Dylan Martineau (Mel), Erika Riviere, Erin Smith (Matt), Vanessa Riviere (Dana), Drew Riviere and Cole Riviere. Grandma’s house was the place to be and her children and grandchildren loved being with her. Her beloved great- grandchildren are Nolan, Asher, Hudson, Stetson, Jaxon, Isla, Mia, Hayes and Huxley. Mom was a long time employee for Dominion stores in Cornwall. She was also a devoted volunteer for 20 years for the Cornwall General Hospital and her great joy was hosting the annual strawberry social at her home. A special thank you to Dr. Waite and the wonderful staff and nurses at Woodland Villa who took such great care of mom these past seven years. Cremation has taken place. A private service will be held at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Hospice Cornwall would be appreciated.
