Did you know that Christmas has come and gone for yet another year? We trust that Santa and his vast team of helpers were able to make your wishes come true. We at Cornwall Square would like to thank you, our customers, for patronizing the mall throughout the year 2024 and spending your hard-earned dollars supporting the Cornwall Square retailers. During November and December, our regular tenants are supplemented by our Festive Season retailers such as Calendar Club, Hickory Farms, Floral Expressions, Funko Pops Collectibles as well as those vendors who participate in the Cornwall Square Christmas Vendor Market. Hopefully the Cornwall Square alliance with DigiPhoto allowed you and your family to have that precious annual Holiday Picture taken yet again.
Did you know that Cornwall Square enjoyed a very productive year in 2024 starting with the opening of the Urban Planet store in the 45,000 square foot upper level of the former Sears store? Urban Planet had previously left the mall in 2021 during the Covid pandemic but was happy to return and with a store twice the size of its previous one with the addition of its Urban Kids and Forever 21 brands. Then came the solar eclipse that attracted huge crowds to the city and to Cornwall Square. The summer brought us to the annual Corus Radiothon in support of the Cornwall Community Hospital and once again the teams from Corus Radio, the Cornwall Community Hospital Foundation, the area corporate sector and the general public pushed the total funds raised to yet another record amount during the 12-hour long event. Fall saw the arrival of our busier season starting with the opening of Warehouse One followed by the Cornwall Square Halloween weeks with this year’s appearance of Mega Dragon created by Katie Hope and made up of over 1,500 balloons. No sooner did the trick or treaters fill their bags with goodies and watch the magic show, that the Cornwall Square Remembrance Display appear, and the Royal Canadian Legion held their Poppy Campaign here at the mall. Then came the Fairweather store opening, immediately after the Remembrance Day celebration, the Cornwall Square maintenance team jumped into action to create the indoor festive ambiance in support of the mall’s 6 weeklong Festive Season that in 2024 introduced the second phase of the mall’s multi-year new décor plan and this year’s addition was spectacular and redefined the scope of the interior décor package. Along with the arrival of Santa and the new home for Rudolph, the festive seasonal vendor opened their stores to serve our customers’ needs for that just so special gift.
From all of us at Cornwall Square to all of you, a very happy and healthy new year in 2025.
“Shop Cornwall, shop indoors, shop The Square.”
