CCH Stars danced their way to success!

Now that the curtains have closed on our 2024 Dancing with the CCH Stars fundraiser at Aultsville Theatre, CCHF extends a HUGE thank you to community sponsors, donors, partners, and attendees for their support, encouragement, and generosity.

In the weeks following our event, more donations have come in, allowing us to raise over $150,000 in net funds. Thanks to this success, our top three medical equipment projects associated with the show have been confirmed and orders have begun!

Meet our top three dance teams:

To win Dancing with the CCH Stars, our nine participating dance teams had to collect the most points between fundraising and dancing. We applaud the hard work, tenacity, and determination of every team involved; and the following individuals made up our top three.

Sponsored by Bourgon Construction, Susan Sauve (RN), Caroline Leblanc (Registered Dietitian), and Lianne Lapierre (RN) secured the 2024 win to bring home the Clinical Cup Trophy (and bragging rights at CCH), assuring the purchase of their $50,000 project supporting CCH’s Chronic Disease Management clinics. The trio performed an upbeat musical theatre number to the Grease soundtrack, complete with a costume change from poodle skirts to catsuits.

Sponsored by Be Beautiful Medical and Dubuc Eyecare Centre, Dr. Christine Suess and Dr. Denis Dubuc came in second place, lighting up the stage with a gorgeous ballroom rendition of Michael Bublé’s, The Summer Wind. Thanks to their efforts, one of CCH’s six operating rooms will receive a new set of surgical lights.

Finally, sponsored by MNP, returning dance team Josee Amyot and Rhiannon St. Pierre clinched third place, with a dynamic hip-hop duet choreographed to a Rihanna and Pitbull remix. Their project will enable a renovation of the nurse’s station (a busy hub for healthcare workers, caregivers, and visitors) on CCH’s first floor.

Based on donor interest, CCHF will continue fundraising toward the other projects associated with this year’s show, from new Emergency Department equipment to essential items supporting our ICU, and new patient monitoring and mobility technology for patients staying on level one.

Local cable subscribers can check their listings for additional airings of the show on Cogeco/YourTV. And stay turned for our CCH Stars’ return to the stage at Aultsville Theatre on March 1, 2025!
