Library reveals upcoming programs and services
The Cornwall Public Library has announced some new programming and services available for 2018.

CORNWALL, Ontario – The dawning of a new year will present some exciting new activities and services for Cornwall residents – namely those who frequent the Cornwall Public Library.

Kids will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a variety of literacy-based learning with new programming set to roll out in the coming weeks. With everything from Baby Tales to Lego Club, there’s something for every age and interest.

“We’ve got a myriad of special events coming up,” said Leslie Corbay, Youth and Children’s Services Manager for the Cornwall Public Library. “A lot of our programming begins six months ahead. As we move closer to date, everything becomes more detailed and more refined.”

In addition to the new winter programming, the library has also announced a new service which will soon be available to cardholders. Hoopla Digital will allow patrons to access nearly half a million titles, from six different formats: Movies, TV, Music Albums, eAudiobooks, eBooks, and Comics/Graphic Novels from their computer, tablet or Smartphone. The service will allow cardholders to borrow up to four titles per month.

“We really love this service because it is easy to use and provides our library patrons instant access to any titles they have interest in,” said Pierre Dufour, Communications & Programs Coordinator for the Cornwall Public Library.

Registration for upcoming programming will begin Monday, Jan. 15. Those interested can visit the Cornwall Public Library’s website for more information.
