SOUTH GLENGARRY, Ontario – Cornwall Community Cheer held their second annual Fall Craft Fair at Holy Trinity on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018.

This year, they had sold tables to 116 vendors and the halls and cafeteria of Holy Trinity were packed with a variety of vendors.

Cornwall Community Cheer uses the money raised from events like these to fund good initiatives throughout the year, but especially around Christmas time.

“We pay for random orders at the store, buy people Tim Hortons. It is about making people happy and reminding them that Cornwall is a wonderful place,” said Debbie Duval, one of the organizers.

One crafter at the event was Leslie Hughes of Reckless Crafting. Hughes makes items themed around the Tim Burton movie The Nightmare Before Christmas from September to December every year and makes room décor for young adults year-round.

Her items and more can be found at the Purple Broomstick on Guy St.

Last year’s Fall Craft Fair raised $7,000 for Cornwall Community Cheer, all of which they put back into the community.
