CORNWALL, Ontario – It is the season for support. Since 2009, Carefor Hospice Cornwall has supported 1,500 patients and their families during the most difficult times in their lives.

On Nov. 3, Hospice will again be asking the community for their support so they continue to provide this important service to the community.

Last year, the YourTV Hospice Telethon raised $168,000 for Carefor Hospice Cornwall.

Running from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 3, supporters and viewers of the telethon will be entertained by local acts such as Melissa Dionne, Bob & Ducky and Mike McNanny.

In addition to the local entertainment, viewers will hear testimonials from families whose loved ones have been cared for by Hospice Cornwall.

“We really thank the families who do their testimonials,” said Carefor Hospice Cornwall Fundraising Coordinator Sandy Collette. “We know that it isn’t easy to do, but we’re grateful that they do it.”

The YourTV Hospice Telethon is the biggest fundraiser for Hospice of the year. Carefor Hospice Cornwall needs to raise $600,000 annually to maintain its services.
