CORNWALL, Ontario – The cultures of the world gathered at St. Peters Parish in Cornwall this Pentecostal Sunday to share food dishes and costumes.
Nancy Tranchemontagne and Lazzarina Tantalo organized the event with the help of numerous businesses and the parish itself.
“The people like this type of event, they never see it anywhere else, so just the comradery and the tasting of the food of course,” explained Lazzarina.
The church was able to bring 20 different cultures to their table and donations by Farmboy, Casa Paolo, and Philos.
Similar to a potluck, several members of the parish brought a dish and when they all came together they were able to fill their table with the cuisine of the world.
